A Tribute to Mothers

Happy Mother's Day to all of you who have the hardest job in the world.  The social, economic, financial, and emotional impact you have on the children you raise are immeasurable.  So thank you, Moms.

Whether you are a mom or even a surrogate, thank you for being there for us.  As children, do we rarely understand the pain and sacrifice you endure, if at all.  So thank you for juggling your jobs, careers, & roles as wife & mom just so your children can be provided for.  Sometimes you are conflicted but yet you do not complain.  You just simply do what must be done.

Thank you Moms for patching our knees then patching our hearts as we dealt with pains of our own and for reminding us that love & family trumps success.  Thank you for the lessons in gentleness and humility, and for reminding us that discipline is also a form of love.

Mostly, thank you Moms and Mothers for giving us the gift of life and for bringing us into the world so that we too may experience its glory, power and mysteries.  But the greatest gift you ever gave to us is your unconditional love.
