A tribute to all mothers: Mother’s Day Special

In times of crisis, especially emotional ones, we all need someone we can rely on. What better place to be than in the arms of a mother, where all problems, insecurities, and negative feelings come to a halt? A child requires a mother's support at all stages of life, be it school, marriage, or having a child. She is the one who serves as a solid pillar on which a child can rely.

A woman, whether a working mother or a stay-at-home mother, doesn’t change the fact that every mother works day and night to keep everything under control. Every working mom will have her own grounds for choosing to work. Some work for financial reasons, others for career advancement, yet some for the adrenaline rush of professional responsibilities, and others purely to have some more adult interaction!

Sometimes we’ve seen some stay-at-home mothers being criticized for not ‘working enough’. These mothers decided not to work by choice, or maybe multitasking is way too exhausting, or sometimes they were discouraged to work by their family members after having a child. This doesn't make them any less hard-working and deserves equal respect and acknowledgement as those working mothers.?

Many career-driven women are aware that returning to work after maternity leave will be difficult, many others find themselves overwhelmed, reluctant, and frequently at crossroads. Women who intend to return to work after maternity leave should be prepared for roadblocks. Something they fail to take into account is the value our society puts on 'perfectionism' both at home and at work, and it pushes them into an ocean of expectations that affects them both physically and mentally.

Even if your problems are trivial in comparison to the real-world problems that a mother faces, a mother will give you her undivided attention and try to help you work things out.
