Hi Everyone, this is my Nuffield Report - the journey started with sheep and wool production and ended up in Military, Elite Sports, the Medical Fraternity and the future. Although there is some heavy reading some key messages are below and thank you to everyone that contributed.

Production performance monitoring (that is, the periodic monitoring of an animal's production performance through objective data feeds) is on the verge of revolutionising animal management. When this occurs it will transform agriculture and animal management.

• With frequent, accurate, production performance monitoring effective decision making will be enhanced by improved on-hand data coupled with financial modelling and forecasting.
• Applying financial analysis to potential technological solutions in agriculture will help improve the financial rigor of strategic and management decisions.
• Technologies that are not currently available for the livestock industry, such as Nano generators and biosensors, will become available to improve the biological state and performance of animals.
