The Tribes of Galway

The Tribes of Galway

Adrian Martyn is the author of The Tribes of Galway, which traces the lives and times of Galway famous merchant families (the tribes) up to the mid 16oo's.

In the book Adrian chronicles, great depth, the colourfull characters and their exploits which ranged from sea voyages to the Canaries for wine to various deeds of skulduggery, locally.

Volume 2 of the Tribes is definitely in Adrian's pipeline, but is some time out yet, while he is working feverishly, at present, on a book about the surnames of Galway, which promises to be fascinating.

Meanwhile a short series of videos, produced by Alan Kelly Visual, gives you some insight into what you are missing, if you don't already own a copy of the Tribes of Galway.
