In this edition, we are going to explore what's on offer during the highly anticipated Tribal Symposium, discuss all the big names set to feature during the conference, and take a look at the innovative roundtable sessions.
TRIBAL SYMPOSIUM:
Set to open the conference on Thursday 9th May, on the third stage, the dedicated ‘Tribal Symposium’ will provide 5,000 attendees with a trilogy of tribal-focused session panels, delving into key talking points encompassing the tribal gaming community and its continued operation.
With a roster of key tribal figures set to provide invaluable insights across the three sessions, attendees can anticipate in-depth discussions encompassing operator-tribal partnerships, the future of sports betting in California, strategies to build upon the ongoing success of tribal gaming, and the safeguarding measures being implemented in land-based casinos.?
Speaking on the importance of the Tribal Symposium, Aidan Brain , VP of Conference Production at SBC, had this to say:?
“During the US 2022 fiscal year, tribal gaming generated revenues of 40 billion. That’s huge!! Tribal gaming has many distinct attributes from commercial gaming and a lot of it is heavily land-based, which is one reason SBC hasn’t focussed on it too strongly in our past conference content. However, it is beginning to compete with commercial gaming in many ways. We also want to provide a platform for such an important industry and culture; we can’t speak for the tribal gaming sector but we can certainly give them a podium!”
Tribal Symposium conference sessions:
Notable speakers set to appear across the Tribal Symposium include? Jamie Hummingbird (Chairman, NTGCR), Melinda Coffin (CEO, Soaring Eagle Gaming) Justin Barrett (Treasurer, Eastern Shawnee Tribe), Hal Wafer (Seminole Hard Rock Sportsbook Manager, Coconut Creek), Frank Sizemore (Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, FanDuel ), Jeannie Hovland , (Vice-chair, NIGC), George Jenkot, CPP (Vice-President of Security and Surveillance, FireKeepers Casino Hotel ), James Fair (Vice President of Security & Transportation, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood – Hollywood), James Siva (Chairman, California Nations Indian Gaming Association ), with many more still to be announced!
SPEAKERS:
At the core of any insightful conference agenda are dedicated sessions focusing on key industry topics. Yet, what truly enriches each session is the presence of numerous industry experts who willingly take the stage to impart their personal experiences, industry insights, and invaluable perspectives.
In recent weeks, we have showcased some of the speakers who are set to appear across the ‘Sports Betting’ conference track, Player Protection Symposium, and the Capital Market Forums.
Yet, with over 300 speakers set to appear across SBC Summit North America, we have barely begun to scratch the surface.
With this in mind, we thought it was about time we introduced some of the noteworthy speakers slated to grace the summit and the panels they'll be contributing to. To ensure you have ample opportunity to map out your own conference itinerary.
