The Trials and Errors of a Startup Entrepreneur: A MacBook Tale

There's a game called entrepreneurship, and let's be honest, it's not for everyone. Now, there's an even tougher version: the startup entrepreneur. It's brutal! How brutal, you ask? Buckle up, because this is my story. Don't worry, it's a hilarious one, not a tearjerker.

First things first, I discovered a golden nugget of information: Elon Musk, despite his achievements, hasn't patented everything! This revelation saved me a hefty chunk of change on a tech attorney. That long route? Avoided! (Cue dramatic sigh of relief). But then, reality hit me like a ton of bricks... in the form of other expenses.

Here I am, writing this masterpiece on a 2011 MacBook. Let me tell you, the struggle is real. Growing up, owning a MacBook was the ultimate symbol of coolness. Then, I made every rookie mistake in the book. I started with a fancy, early 2020 MacBook Pro and fell head over heels for that beauty. It was my workhorse, my Netflix and chill partner (because in Africa, we have our ways of streaming football, no need for subscriptions, wink wink). That Mac, it performed like a champ... until my brilliant tech idea struck. Now, I'm raising capital for this game-changer, and guess what? I'm open for business, baby! So yeah, about those costs... building something revolutionary requires more than what you're comfortable with. So, I sacrificed my Mac to the startup gods, allowing the work to commence.

Let me tell you, using this ancient relic (affectionately nicknamed "Kabambe," like the Nokia 3310 of its time, or maybe even an iPhone 8 for the youngsters out there) has been a struggle of epic proportions. The struggle is real, folks! Just yesterday, Manchester City (my beloved club) was playing Arsenal, and what did I have to resort to? Watching it on this brick of a phone. Talk about a first-world problem in a developing world!

There's no happily ever after here, folks. Just the relentless grind of building something amazing. But hey, on a brighter note, inspired by Elon Musk and Steve Jobs, I had to make some tough calls. I had to release the B and C players from my co-founding team. You know what they say, gotta break a few eggs to make an omelet (or maybe in this case, a revolutionary tech product). Stay tuned, the results are coming soon!
