Is Trial Ownership the New Way to Buy a Franchise?

This has been an interesting year, to say the least. Businesses have had to adapt to the evolving landscape of safety guidelines, setting their employees up for success while working from home, and of course, the effect these elements have had on our country’s economy.
Additionally, everyone has reacted differently to this new environment. Some entrepreneurs are ambivalent to jump on their next opportunity, while others are taking this time to do their due diligence and find the best concept for them. As a franchisor, I understand that offering patience, support and expertise to franchise prospects – whether they are ready to invest or simply seeking more information – is imperative to the franchise’s success.
That’s why we have implemented a “Try Before You Buy” initiative for a limited time into the Network In Action franchise model – to allow qualified candidates the chance to have a trial run as a Network In Action group leader before actually making any monetary commitment. We’re proud to report that the initiative is off to a strong start, with likeminded entrepreneurs coast-to-coast moving forward with the program.
“I looked at the Network In Action franchise for over a year. I spoke to franchise owners, attended meetings and spoke to members. This current model, which allows me to try before I buy was the tipping point I needed to move forward,” says Brenda James, who is currently moving through the Try Before You Buy program. “The model, training, technology and support is amazing – it starts with Scott and permeates throughout the organization. I love what I’m doing and am excited about the future.”
However, the “Try Before You Buy” program has not only been put in place to benefit franchise prospects – our current group leaders are also able to take advantage of the program. Through the “Try Before You Buy” initiative, our group leaders are able to offer their communities trial memberships – with access to connections, technology and referrals – to encourage small to mid-sized business owners to experience some of the benefits of Network In Action prior to making a commitment.
Experienced business owners know that challenges present space for improvement – if you’re not growing and adapting, then you’re going to become obsolete. Those who recognize the value of a large network in gaining traction post-pandemic will better adapt to the evolving landscape. So, if you haven’t built a network, now is a great time – and Network In Action’s “Try Before You Buy” program is the way to get started.
Whether you are a franchisor, a franchise owner or a franchise prospect, the “Try Before You Buy” initiative serves as a prime example of a program that benefits all.
