Trevor Travels: Los Angeles
The first installment of “Trevor Tracker” left me lost in NYC without a cell phone. Fortunately for me, I had already mastered the subway and was able to navigate myself to the airport for the start of my next adventure: a West Coast takeover, starting in Los Angeles, California.
CITY OF ANGELS
When the plane first touched down at LAX, I was worried the paparazzi would be waiting for me. But they must have gotten the day wrong because I made it through smoothly! Though LA is the second most populous city in the United States, it somehow manages to have more cars than citizens. So to fit in, I rented a Ferrari in order to get around.
ANGEL CITY BREWERY
After the first day in California, I realized I was already working way too hard and needed to throw back a beer—or seven—so I headed to the Arts District and stopped by Angel City Brewery to check out the beautiful artwork and try some local brews. My Matterport camera, Matt, even got called on stage for some karaoke. To get a better picture in your head, take a virtual 360 tour of the beer tasting venue.
HOLLYWOOD HAT TRICK
Hollywood is the place where dreams come true! On second thought, that actually might be Disneyland. Either way, my dream was to complete something I like to call the Hollywood Hat Trick, which consists of strolling down the Hollywood Walk of Fame, stopping for some lunch at Hollywood Burger, and then burning those calories on the Hollywood Sign Hike. I’m happy to report that dreams really do come true!
ABOVE SIXTY
Now I have to give some credit to Above Sixty (conveniently located above Hotel Sixty) for letting me onto their ritzy rooftop to plan the route for my hat trick. You can checkout the view to with their 360 tour of theritzy LA rooftop. And let me tell you—the view ain’t bad.
BEACH BUMMIN’
At this point in the trip I still hadn’t reached the ocean. So I headed to Santa Monica to get my tan on. Sitting on the pier and watching the sunset was incredibly satisfying. That is, until a seagull made my dinner his own. The good news is, my lack of dinner led me to a great neighborhood hot spot, Craftsman Bar + Kitchen.
CRAFTSMAN BAR + KITCHEN
Because I’m a kid at heart, I couldn’t resist playing some old school Pac-Man, Battleship, shuffleboard and Giant Jenga after my meal. After taking over the top spot on the leaderboards, I decided to hook them up with a 360 tour. Check out the games and virtually walk through the gaming and cocktail spot.
THE OC
During my trip, I found out that the OC is more than just a fantastic TV show. It’s also a fast-growing tech scene with some wonderful venues that I had the fortune of visiting. While in town, I was even able to continue my MLB stadium tour by catching an Anaheim Angels game.
THREE SEVENTY COMMON
At the foothills of Laguna, you’ll find Three Seventy Common, which is famous for their prosciutto, egg, and broccoli dish. So I figured I’d stop by and give it a try. And let me tell you, it lived up to the hype. Check out a virtual view of the Laguna hot spot.
NEXT STOP: SAN FRANCISCO
Even though I’m really going to miss partying with all my celebrity friends, it’s time for me to head up the coast to San Francisco. The only problem is, I’m not too sure how I’m going to get there… stay tuned to find out! And of course, be sure to check out all of our 360 virtual tours to help you book upcoming events.
