No Trespassing

Consider this, you have real estate that is a prime property. It's in a neighbourhood that has high footfall and is a crowded space with a lot of noise. You are the business owner and a seller.

Would you use this space to put a huge board that says No Trespassing? Or would you use this property to do provide visibility and maybe even engagement with your customers?

In this Attention Economy and Digital world that we currently live in what is the investment you have done to utilise your digital real estate?

Since my joining Vengreso I am really curious to see how individuals in my network are utilising their real estate on Linkedin and the results are shocking. I can see companies with 3 to 7% employees active on Linkedin and while Sales and Marketing teams may have slightly higher activity it may still be below 15%.

Also Linkedin profiles usually read more like resume than a resource for engaging with prospects and customers. When I ask the sellers I hear comments like " I am not active but I do go there and check out my prospect" , "I send out Inmails and messages but get no response" or sometimes even "I am not on Linkedin !"

Your Linkedin profile is your prime property in a busy neighbourhood of 756 Million users! You could have a fancy "No Trespassing" board or you may not even claim your space there or you could leverage this space to engage with your customers and prospects.

Linkedin report states that 75% of B2B buyers use social media to make purchasing decisions and if that is not enough reason for investing in creating a buyer centric profile at least know that your competitors may be in the 756 Million users !

I am not even discussing the value of premium features and other social media platforms like Twitter yet!
