Trends that Drive Human resources Management.

UAE Vision 2021 aims to build a knowledge-based, highly productive and competitive economy through innovative research, science, and technology. It is widely recognized that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a pioneer of change, consistently adopting cutting-edge solutions across industries. As a part of the national agenda, smart technologies are being implemented more widely in Government organizations. This is also happening in the private sector. In an effort to increase efficiency and effectiveness, organizations are constantly striving to improve the customer and employee experience, across various functions.

To support digital transformation in the workplace, HR executives identified three main areas: the workforce's ability to adopt new solutions, an organization's capacity to embrace disruption, and institutional capacity to adopt initiatives.

Changes in UA market seem to be happening at a breakneck pace. While trying to manage changes imposed by the global pandemic of COVID since late 2019, HRM is finding itself at the centre of this trying to cope with changes that have already occurred while preparing for foreseen changes.

·??????? Flatter Organizations: Where less middle management means a greater responsibility and accountability being passed on to the employee. Recruiting talent who are self-driven and have good organizational and technical skills is essential for filling staff vacancies.

·??????? Growing Diversity: UAE is constantly becoming a more attractive employer because more women, local talents, expats, and disabled are entering the workplace; this affects what types of training and benefits they offer.

·??????? Hired, third party and Contract manpower supplies: Faced with tight headcount controls, employers are increasingly turning to freelancing, or part time workers for maximum flexibility, either themselves or through agents. Integrating these mobile workers into your business can present a unique set of challenges.

·??????? Greater Mobility: with growing business, employees became interested in short-term assignments abroad, or relocate to other facilities, to make use of additional benefits of remote locations working. Employees became more interested in switching jobs within a company in order to build their resumes.

·???????? Less Loyalty: Having the same boss for a lifetime is not common anymore. Waves of layoffs, downsizings, and business shutdown have contributed to the trend of employees staying in a job for a short period then moving on. Your best employees may be challenging to hold onto, so be aware that this can be a double-edged sword. HRM need to have a broader talent pool to draw on when there’s a vacant position.

·??????? Team - based Organization: Ideally organized in teams, not hierarchies led by supervisors and managers. In recruiting, HR will focus on hiring people who have a team orientation.

·??????? A Customer Driven Organization: with versatile jobs from manufacturing to services, adding further fields of business interests, organizations need to respond to customers like never before. Every employee must understand and internalize this customer-centric focus.

·??????? A well – Educated Workforce; employees with proper education usually are more assertive and expect employees to accept a say in how the organization is run.

·??????? Information – Driven Environments: Today, information can be obtained, shared, and disseminated almost instantaneously. New employees need to understand how to use this access to information to help them do their jobs. You will find that job descriptions are affected by this trend, and you cannot afford to ignore its impact, especially in hiring and training.

Growing and merge: The trend towards Growing Organization has also accelerated the trend to Specialized HR practitioners. HR practitioner has to be unique. This means that the firm must qualify dedicated teams to be involved in hiring, compensation, benefits, compliance with laws affecting employees in the workplace and health, and safety issues. However, to improve sustainability, such diversification of tasks requires individuals with strong organizational skills who can quickly shift from project to project and topic to topic without becoming overwhelmed.
