In evolutionary biology, mimicry is an evolved resemblance between an organism and another object, often an organism of another species

Man have succeeded in putting a box that can extract oxygen from the atmosphere on Mars. Consuming the scarse oxygen ressources from the Martian atmosphere is not a durable option.

A dandelion and grass can produce oxygen. Without hassle and with great predictability. But if we was to manage to bring life to Mars we should look to trees.

Trees are the superheroes of evolution on this planet - and seen in phylogenetic light the true seniors of this world - Trees respect boundaries, does not transcend their domain, but evolves in their spot of life, maximizes advantages and limit disadvantages and makes the best out of everything.

The biodiversity of the human age is higher than ever before in the great geological time horizon. Man has come into being and has lived in a time when there has been a uniquely great wealth of plant and animal species. For the same reason, it is doubtful whether our present civilization will survive the great loss of species.

As we often see life, even planetary systems and eons of balanced development in the light of the result, looking for explanations why everything is so well connected we should first look to trees because they are really well connected to life.

Trees form part of extensive alliances and support the flowering of life and share generous energy and necessities of life across species and over enormous distances in the rhizosphere. Trees convert energy into carbohydrates through photosynthesis and store greenhouse gases in their wood for hundreds of years.

Trees create and strengthens precipitation and form the basis for circular substance cycles that optimizes the biological variation.

The explanation that everything seems to fit so well together is neither accidental nor the result of an architectural or conscious process. It comes from the premises of organic processes.

If we were to imitate other species, it is the trees we can learn the most from. Where man goes to the frontier, transcends them, and settles at the expense of nature and fellow human beings. Trees respects the limitations of their domain and thrives within - even dances of joy in super-slowmo - and grows methusalem old. Today, trees found in Sweden are considered the world's oldest - up to 9,550 years - still going strong.

Trees are the species we humans can learn the most from here on earth, and before we goes to other worlds it should be a requirement that we prove that we are able to live up to the standard of trees and takes considerable care of the world we already got.
