Tree Plantation Campaign (Selfie with Tree)
Due to the COVID-19 Outbreak, we conducted an online Tree Plantation Drive (Selfie with Tree) Campaign this year. The successful organization of this program took place under the banner of Shining Souls Social Media Platforms.
On Environment Day, Rahul Sinha, Chairman of Shining Souls Trust, advocated for the success of World Environment Day by encouraging the planting of fruitful and shady trees. He emphasized that if every citizen in India planted a tree at their doorstep or in the fields, World Environment Day would undoubtedly be a success. Rahul Sinha, Chairman of Shining Souls Trust, highlighted the importance of tree planting, stating that it contributes to a cleaner environment, essential for a quality life. President of Shining Souls, Shri Sinha, urged the public and dignitaries to join the cause and plant a tree on World Environment Day. Shining Souls Trust conducted a plantation drive in the village of Machwa. Referring to ancient scriptures, Shri Sinha emphasized the significance of trees, stating that one tree is equivalent to a hundred sons, providing Ayurveda, medicines, and clean oxygen. He urged everyone to participate in tree planting.
Trees play a vital role in providing fresh air and oxygen, crucial for sustaining life on Earth. Increased tree plantation campaigns are essential, as trees not only supply oxygen but also play a crucial role in maintaining ecological balance. Failure to do so can lead to natural calamities such as floods and droughts, posing a threat to life.
A report by TOI revealed that a human consumes about 550 litres of pure oxygen daily, with the average cost of a 2.75-litre portable oxygen cylinder being Rs. 6,500. According to the survey, the daily oxygen consumption by a human is valued at approximately Rs. 13 lakhs.
