Treatment for - Last Night of Freedom – Entertainment/Game Show, Created by Tilehouse Productions.
As weddings are getting more popular, the associated traditions such as the stag and hen night seem to be fading into history and replaced with what is now, the stag and hen weekend or even, for the hedonists of society, the stag and hen week. The humble last night of freedom has been transformed into an action packed mini break fueled by lager and fast food and the stag weekends are even worse.
Last Night of Freedom is a game show which challenges the body and the mind with tasks that pitch two teams head to head to win the ultimate stag and hen weekend. With fast paced physical and mental rounds for both male and female contestants it will have the audience on the edge of their seats cheering for the team they favor to win.
Last Night of Freedom – A studio based game show which sees two teams, each consisting of 4 people, the future bride and groom and their respective maid of honor and best man. The two teams will compete, head to head, female against female, male against male to win a series of mental and physical tasks. The game consists of two rounds and one final, in each round, each team has a chance of answering a series of questions which earn time points to aid them complete the physical task. At the end of the second round, the team with the most points ultimately has an advantage when entering the final but as the final is a physical task with the emphasis on team work, the result could easily go either way. The team that wins the final round wins the game and collects the prize of the ultimate stag & hen weekend.
?Audience
Ideally suited to a prime time Saturday night broadcast, Last Night of Freedom is aimed at the 18-35 demographic. The game show crosses the gender boundary in terms of its appeal due to there being a male and female competitive content. We feel it would be viewed primarily by couples within this age group and secondly, by families and groups of males and females. ??
?Talent
Last Night of Freedom would be presented by one to two presenters, with one taking the role as the main anchor and question master and the other providing a link with the contestants taking part in the physical activities and the audience. The presenters would appeal to the intended demographic and have the ability to offer a light comedic aspect to their role.
?Revenue
Last night of freedom would have a huge appeal to both male and female viewers within the 18 to 35 age bracket and we feel that this would be an ideal? target audience for companies and brands within the sectors of alcoholic drinks, travel, food, film and fashion. There would also be sponsorship opportunities for a company who wishes to be directly linked with the production. The prize given at the end of each episode will be supplied by a third party tour operator as part of a sponsorship agreement. Extra revenue streams could be created through viewer “phone-ins” for competitions to win a similar holiday to the one shown on the game show.
?Other Media Platforms
Further programmes could be created in a similar style to Big Brother’s Little Brother, where the viewers follow the winning teams on their stag and hen weekends. This could be a full 60min show, broadcast at a later time slot and would contain uncut footage of both the stag and hen weekends.
?Aim of the Game
·?????? Each team will split in to two with one half working together to answer the questions set by the question master and the other half working together to complete the physical tasks.
·?????? The half of the team answering the questions has to get as many answers correct as possible to build up enough time points to enable the team performing the physical activity to complete the task.
·?????? Each question, when answered correctly will gain the team a set amount of time to perform the physical task. If a question is answered incorrectly then time is deducted from the total time gained. The team answering the questions have the opportunity before the question is given to “pass” on the next question, therefore not gaining any time points but also not losing any (This would usually be done if the team are limited on time points gained and further reductions would dramatically affect their chance of winning).
·?????? Once all questions have been answered or passed, the time points are collated and a total amount of time is given to the 2nd half of the team in order for them to perform as much of the physical task as possible to collect further time points which will be used in the final activity.
·?????? Each team will take turns to answer questions but the physical activity will be performed head to head.

·?????? Once the physical activity has finished the points are counted and the team with the most points will win the first round.
·?????? The team members will then swap positions which ensure that each member has an equal amount of input to all aspects of the game.
·?????? During this change over period, clips of the previous week’s winners, stag & hen weekends will be shown. There could also be a spin off show which shows an uncut account of the stag and hen weekends.
·?????? The second round will be in the same format as the first but a different physical activity will be played.
·?????? At the end of the second round, both team’s points are counted and added to the first round total to ascertain the team with the most time points to help them in the final activity.
·?????? Each team are then given the opportunity to answer a bonus question which if they answer correctly will gain them more time points but if they get it wrong they will lose points from their total. Alternatively they can pass the question and remain on the same points as before.
·?????? The Final – Both teams of four will go head to head in this physical activity round, the team who has accrued the most points in the previous rounds will have a head start and ultimately the advantage. The team which starts second will still have a chance of winning depending on how well they work as a team.
·?????? Regardless of how many points accrued in the previous rounds, it is the team that performs best in the final to score as many points as possible who will go on to win the game and the prize of the ultimate stag and hen weekend.
·?????? The stag and hen weekends will be in separate locations and will be for 5 people each, they will involve certain activities for the contestants to participate in, the locations will change weekly.
