Shilpa writes… I took an initiative to develop reward incentives by designing a few stickers and stampers. Our school encouraged me at every step and I was able to create a product for educators. The brand name of my product is ‘Shilp Creations’ and the tag line says – ‘appreciate to encourage’. I have designed reward incentives like stickers, stampers, cards and badges. The stickers are thoughtfully designed and are very colourful and attractive. The stampers can be used for multiple impressions using coloured inkpads. The cards can be used to appreciate students for job well done. The badges will help to inculcate self-discipline and hone leadership skills. All these products can be used for rewarding the good positive behaviour and learning; they will increase every child’s self esteem and also keep his/her productivity high, in the classroom. Now I have started sharing these products with other schools as well and I am feeling very happy about it. The exposure and learning experiences I have gathered in Mahindra World School has helped me to transform into a teacher entrepreneur or teacherpreneur.

I feel that all the teachers should feel proud of their profession and think beyond the classroom walls, try to reach more students, collaborate and share knowledge and experience with other teachers. They should use their talents and abilities to the full extent to make a difference in the education arena and be in line with the global standards.
