TRAZER at NATA 2017

TRAZER will be presenting at NATA in Houston and they'll have system up and running for all the great ATs can see the latest in objective assessment, rehabilitation and recovery for athletes. TRAZER was recently installed at the U.S. Olympic Center in Colorado Springs.

TRAZER is a tool that objectively measures movement using a high speed optical camera, measuring 25 points on the body (without a sensor) and measures reaction time, speed, acceleration and deceleration. TRAZER is used for several purposes, with the athlete in mind, to enhance safety, assist in recovery/return-to-play protocols and improve physical performance. TRAZER measures movement and speed within 1/100th of a foot or second, completely eliminating subjectivity and thereby increasing the viability of assessment. This would allow your athletes to have a baseline and then monitor their performance as they go through training. I am attaching a copy of the document showing what is measured and how. The reports can compare data from the baseline assessment to current state and anywhere in between. We are currently working with NATA to roll out an app that links to TRAZER for use on the field and develop SCAT 5 protocols, which will be stored in the HIPAA compliant cloud.

Trazer's components include:

  • Physical enhancement drills that can be programmed by the PTs/ATs and Coaches to build agility, speed, and reaction time in athletes. The unplanned stimuli used in these drills assists in improving symmetry of movement, thereby decreasing risk of injury.
  • Concussion baseline assessment and a six-phase recovery protocol developed by the Cleveland Clinic. It is also compliant with the Berlin Concussion Consensus, published 27 April 2017, as it also measures movement (exercise) and heart rate.
  • Orthopaedic assessment and recovery modules, each with six-phases, to assist in ankle, knee, hip, vestibular and balance rehabilitation.

We look forward to showing and discussing TRAZER at #NATA2017
