Schiphol Tunnel between The Hague and Amsterdam Implements Height Detection for Over-Height Trucks Starting October 1?
Starting October 1, 2024, the Schiphol Tunnel (A4) will implement a height detection system to prevent trucks taller than the legal limit of 4 meters from entering the tunnel. Drivers of over-height vehicles will receive two warnings and be directed to alternative routes to avoid the tunnel. Ignoring warnings will result in tunnel closure, causing traffic delays. This system aims to prevent accidents and damage, which have occurred in the past, and violators may face fines. The height detection applies only to the tunnel from The Hague to Amsterdam.?

CEO Stefan Ulrich emphasized the acquisition’s benefits, highlighting the synergies in global reach and service offerings. Simon Hegele’s management will remain in place, ensuring continuity. The deal, signed on September 30, 2024, is expected to close within 3-5 months, pending regulatory approvals.?
