Traveling: The mind and body

Miles away and yet, only an two hour drive. What is the meaning of “being far away?” When distance is measured in time and the feeling of really wanting to be there. The more you start to think about it, the more you are being drawn into this space between time and distance. What do you call this “in-between” reality? Like being sucked into a vacuumed tunnel, where time no longer exists and distance is just a matter of thinking about where that place is where you want to be and you are there. Time and place displacement.
There is this insatiable thirst to knowing, knowing how to tune the brainwaves to the right frequency so either the mind can travel great lengths of distances to see what is happening there,or when the mind can manipulate gravity and you are there in the flesh. All of this just to be with someone or just simply to be somewhere else. The meditative state of the mind is in need of practice but the more you practice the easier it is, and sometimes when you look at a photograph, un-knowingly you travel. You travel faster than light, between the “here and now” and time and space. But there will always be some unique experience missing when you can’ttouch the thing or person you travel too. Or can you…?
Heck...why the difficult thinking just hop on the train or car, it's just only a two-hour drive.
