Traveling For A Broader View
One of the joys of having an international career is being able to meet new people, and to enjoy their cultural differences. From a country's holidays, and food differences we can learn to see the world from another perspective. These glimpses into other people's worlds allow us to also have a broader worldview.
From there onwards possibilities are endless. If you can learn that no matter where you are that it's all about the people you will do well in any field of work. Also understanding that being in charge does not mean people will follow you. That is a personal choice they will decide on. However, if you connect with them, and they connect with you; this connection can cross borders for a lifetime.
That is why we travel, learn, and network around the world. Spending time with each other over a meal is a great way to have this connection, and to broaden your visibility as a leader. So get out explore, and drive your excellence mindset by spending time with your people, and your host country.
One of my last food experiences was just walking around a neighborhood, and trying the local dishes of that community. Talking to people, and learning about an area is what I like to do, and getting food along the way.
Here is my last video from that area of town:
Also here is a short clip of a bamboo clam. This was not something we have seen too much of here in Malaysia.
Travel on everyone!
