Traveling Abroad as an Expat
The Expat Woman
We are a global community of diverse and dynamic women focused on engaging, educating and empowering our network
Has your expat experience influenced or changed your perspective on traveling and vacationing in other countries?
It has for me. I want to learn more about the history of the country, experience the culture, try the cuisines, connect with the locals and other expats.
Greetings from Sydney, Australia!?
I've been here for a week and it's been a busy one with?wedding celebrations of my cousin, playing tourist, organizing a meetup of my LinkedIn and expat friends and also shooting "expat travel videos" for my The Expat Woman YouTube channel.
I am experimenting with doing videos for The Expat Woman channel?of the countries or cities I visit, to give folks who are planning to move there or visit, a glimpse or peek of what to expect.
It's not easy putting myself out there on camera. I realized with travel videos especially if you have?limited time, you don't have a chance to get your hair fixed, do your makeup.?
But with most things where you have to step out of your comfort zone and show up, if you wait to be perfect, you might never get started.
So I am embracing the imperfections, and showing up as my authentic self.?
I haven't had a chance to edit and upload any videos of this trip?except for a short one on my first impressions of Australia.?
People are extremely friendly, diverse cuisines and cultures!
Subscribe to my YouTube channel ?if you want to get?notified when I upload new videos.
I also did another YouTube short about how I spent a 16-hour layover in Amsterdam
