Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from MAGIC! -- Sir Arthur C. Clarke
??I owe you!??
One of the best things about being a science communicator is the interactions I'm privileged to have with the world's most brilliant audience! Last week, I asked for and received many helpful tips and suggestions from over 100 geniuses to help me overcome anxiety. These tips ranged from structuring my talking points to power posing, meditation, and breathwork recommendations. I was initially intimidated by the sheer volume of information. Still, these tips' impact on my preparation process was incredibly positive.
??????The Power of Collaboration??????
I sincerely appreciated all the tips I received, and the most gratifying aspect was the collaborative effort behind them. Many of the suggestions came from those of you who aren't public speakers by trade and friends who had gone through similar experiences. They took the time to share their insights with me, which made me feel supported and encouraged. It also made me realize the power of collaboration and how much we can learn from one another.?
???Boosting Confidence and Preparedness???
The tips' most significant impact on me was how much they boosted my confidence and preparedness. With each new piece of advice, I felt more equipped to tackle my podcast appearance easily. The tips helped me refine my talking points, develop a more transparent structure for my presentation, and even gave me ideas for subject lines that would grab my audience's attention. As a result, I felt more confident in my abilities and more prepared to deliver a compelling podcast.
Receiving many helpful tips and suggestions for my upcoming podcast appearance was initially overwhelming. Still, the impact they had on my preparation process was incredibly positive. The collaborative effort behind these tips made me feel supported and encouraged, and my confidence and preparedness boosted significantly. I learned that collaboration is a powerful tool, and the insights and experiences of others can help us grow and improve in ways we never thought possible.
I promised I would share the episode when it's ready...and?here ?it is..."Trust science, not scientists, with Peter Boghossian.'
