Travel, Give, Grow: how can this improve your life?

September was a month filled with excitement and meaningful experiences.

I traveled to Singapore for work, where I met with some of my closest investment partners and gained valuable insights to share with my clients. It was an incredibly productive trip, but I also managed to carve out some time for a few unforgettable moments.

?One highlight was witnessing the Formula 1 Grand Prix live, cheering on my fellow countryman, Max Verstappen. The energy was electrifying, and being there in person was an experience unlike any other.

In addition to the Grand Prix, I enjoyed a VIP tour of Universal Studios. Without a doubt, it was the best theme park experience I’ve ever had. I felt like a kid again, completely immersed in the rides and attractions, savoring every moment.

But September wasn’t just about adventure—it was also about giving back.

I had the privilege of hosting a financial wellbeing seminar for a Fortune 500 company ranked in the top 20. Around 100 employees attended, and it was rewarding to share insights, offer tips, and provide advice to help them improve their financial situation.

I also participated in a 24-hour live LinkedIn event hosted by my friend, Jonathan Palmar. As a LinkedIn superstar, Jonathan brought together many influential figures from the platform. I had the honor of opening the event with him.

What makes Jonathan's story even more inspiring is that he’s still recovering from breaking both of his legs during a podcast shoot we did together in the Netherlands last May. Watching him turn personal trauma into a force for good is truly heartwarming.

I donated $500 to a foundation in Nepal, run by a Sherpa I spent 16 days with while trekking the Manaslu Circuit earlier this year. The donation will support families in remote areas, providing much-needed resources to those in need.

This is just the beginning. I’m committed to giving back more—both with my money and my time.?My focus is on helping children who need support.

Investment tip: compounded interest

Picture this: you’ve got a money-making tree. You plant a seed (your initial investment) in the ground, and it sprouts a few apples (your interest) at the end of the year. Sweet, right? But here's where the fun happens: instead of just eating those apples, you decide to plant them back into the ground.

I’m a Dutch expat who’s proudly called Dubai home for over a decade. I’m fortunate to share this life with my wonderful wife and our two lovely daughters .

In the early years of my career, I dove into the early education and childcare business my father built. Those five years were incredibly formative, giving me hands-on experience and a deep understanding of the business world at a young age.
