Trauma Healing

When I was a GP I saw a lot of people with PTSD and I felt really impotent.?I couldn’t really do anything for these people other than prescribe them medication, sick notes, send them off for counselling, CBT, and various other therapies which were not always successful.?It left me feeling – “What can I do?”

When I discovered NLP and trained to do Time Line Therapy (r), I then had a tool which enabled me to heal trauma. Subsequently, I came across a tool called “Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories,” (RTM) which has been developed from NLP techniques.?It is 95% effective and has come from the 9/11 survivors and is used to help PTSD survivors and veterans over in America. It’s arrived here in the UK a few years ago and I’m trained to get rid of trauma using “Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories”

If we think about trauma, it can either be childhood trauma or things that happen to you through your life and they can become chained together. People then have a label of “Complex PTSD”. I’m not a big fan of this label because it is what I work with on a regular basis and can resolve it in two days or less whereas people are often told it will take years to resolve.

I don’t like to think that there are people out there with trauma throughout their life that think they are never going to get rid of it because I know that they can and that’s what I do on a regular basis.

PTSD can come from traumatic events like…

  • abuse
  • accidents that happen
  • deaths of loved ones
  • near-death experiences
  • working in the forces in war zones
  • working in healthcare
  • people who suffer a sudden loss

Symptoms of PTSD that are specific and acute symptoms are…

  • triggered flashbacks
  • feeling isolated
  • feeling guilty
  • nightmares
  • panic attacks

These symptoms can make life really difficult because it means it affects your relationships, your work and what you want to do overall.

I’m really keen to help people both with long-term trauma and acute trauma.

In five hours, or even less, we can actually remove the trauma and move it from an area where it’s stored and causes all those symptoms to move to an area of the brain where it just becomes a story.

The emotions around the trauma have been dissociated from the actual story so there is no emotion around the story.?It is really effective and just changes people’s lives.

In reality, alongside my intensive?NLP Breakthrough Therapy, I’m also working a lot more with people with acute PTSD?and we are finding it’s 95% effective.

The main thing to say in terms of doing this sort of work is you don’t have to associate into any of the memories that go with the trauma.?It’s really comfortable and you don’t have to go back over any of the fear, the anger, the guilt, and all of the emotions that go with PTSD – it just dissociates it really quickly.

If you know someone who is suffering with PTSD or chronic long-term trauma leading to them being stuck then give me a shout because this is something that’s really easily sorted.??So get in touch?I do a free half hour call so we can discuss your symptoms and start to move things forward.

I’ll see you next week.
