As proud members-at-large on the Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey (GSHNJ) board of directors, Trashaun Powell and I are thrilled to celebrate Natasha Hemmings, MPA mings's 24th anniversary in the Girl Scouts movement. Natasha's journey is a testament to her unwavering commitment and investment in girl empowerment and leadership development. Her impact has been felt across the Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey council and beyond.

Natasha, our esteemed CEO, is one of a few African American women leading regional Girl Scouts councils throughout the country and the first African American woman to lead GSHNJ. She brings decades of leadership and entrepreneurial experience, having served nearly two decades as the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for the Girl Scouts of Central & Southern NJ Southern New Jersey before stepping into her current role. Her strategic vision and passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion have been instrumental in shaping the direction of our organization.

Under Natasha's leadership, GSHNJ has continued to inspire girls of every age and background to reach their fullest potential. Her dedication to sharing the inspirational stories of Girl Scouts has not only resonated within New Jersey but has also sparked inspiration around the globe. Natasha has represented Girl Scouts USA at national and international levels, furthering the mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character.

With an impressive educational background, a master's degree in public administration, and a doctoral pursuit at Vanderbilt University , Natasha's academic achievements complement her professional excellence. Her involvement in various community organizations, including her role as an Adjunct Professor at 美国罗格斯新泽西州立大学新布朗斯维克分校 , underscores her commitment to education and service.
