Transwing UAV Concept in CATIA

In May this year, I discovered an amazing video of the first flight of PteroDynamics Inc. X-P4 Transwing.

Among all the UAV concepts under development nowadays, I found the design and all the mechanisms of this one really amazing.

Then, a few days ago, I took some time to (quickly) recreate a Transwing UAV concept in CATIA thanks to Mechanical & Shape Engineer Role.

In a few hours, I designed the external shapes of the UAV

and of course created all the mechanisms needed for the take off and landing operations of this drone.

After checking that everything is ok, I decided to showcase my design on a virtual planet, thanks to 3DEXCITE applications.

First, in a forest

and then on a military vessel (here a French Navy BPC)
