Transped Carries Out a Special Transport from Turkey to Spain

In a joint operation with Alonso Forwarding Holding Turkey, Transped has successfully executed a large-scale special transport from Turkey to Spain. This logistical challenge involved the relocation of a steel structure intended for a football stadium, from the Bursa - Gemlik region to Barcelona.

The door-to-door operation included the movement of 72 pieces totaling approximately 1,600 tons in weight and a volume of 3,100 cubic meters. This special transport combined two logistical modes: land transportation and maritime transportation.

For the land segment, 29 lowbed trucks and 22 standard trucks were used to transport the pieces from Bursa to the Port of Gemlik. From there, the steel structures were loaded onto a vessel that carried them to the Port of Barcelona.

The complexity of this operation required meticulous coordination and the combined efforts of the teams at Transped and Alonso Forwarding Turkey. Thanks to all the colleagues involved, this logistical challenge was successfully completed.
