Transparency: do it right
Health care reform has brought with a host of websites and surveys. There are now almost as many hospital and physician ranking sites as there are political polls in this election year.
The one area that seems to elude capture is pricing -- something that is clearly important to patients who are being asked (correctly) to pay a larger share of the cost of their care. If quality outcomes are similar, why not pay a little less for that colonoscopy?
