Traveling can be experimental, exciting and experiential. I?recently took an exploratory trip to Grenada and Panama with American Transnational Advisors. Among the many things the trip taught me, three things stood out: I became a hodophile, an elutheromania that wants to become a peripatetic.
Hodophile?(n.): One who loves to travel; a traveler with a special affinity for roads.
Eleutheromania (n) A great desire for or obsession with freedom.
Peripatetic?(n) a person who travels from one place to another or moves around a lot.
How did this happen?
For me it was through experiences that will forever change the way I view my life and the world around me.
Season of Hodophilia:
When you wake up in a foreign country, everything is new. What you know is suddenly changed to reflect a new reality.
·??Customs are different – like “Carnival” dancers and musicians gracing a mall unexpectedly or learning about Jab Jab with it’s elaborate costumes, sounds, parades and high energy.;
·?The food is different - like having Dim Sum (a range of small Chinese dishes traditionally enjoyed in restaurants for brunch) with people who speak Spanish as their primary language;
·?The people are different – those you think “should” speak English, Spanish, or Chinese based on your country of origin and your biases, simply do not;
·?and of course, the ever changing weather, traffic patterns/rules, terrain and whatever else makes them unique.

Add to this the differences from skyscrapers in Punta Pacifica to the historic district in Casco Viejo or the beaches in Playa Bonita all part of Panama City, Panama. Then again landing at the Marice Bishop International Airport that oversees the ocean or exploring the Avondale Waterfalls in Fort George or diving the Grand Mal Bay endless beaches, each part of these cities reveals a different feel, a different look and a different socio-economic perspective.
Eleutheromania Ensues:
… and so my mini vacations became partial business trips.
·??Is this a market where American Transnational Advisors can serve to provide the types of freedom we have in the United States?
·??What kind of difference would moving to the United States as investors make for those I met?
·? Is there opportunities for global expansion of their existing businesses?
·? And most of all who are the investors that need us and where can we find them?
The United States offers liberty, independence and freedom of religion, speech, travel and move, and national security. It has been called the “land of the free because of our brave”. When we pledge our allegiance to the United States, we do so proudly and without hesitation.
This is now my wish for all those who we serve.
Peripatetic?Phase:
My personal journey has involved travel since birth. I have lived in or owned 30 homes in 9 cities. It is often said that moving shapes you. For me, it gave me wings. I love to travel and want to do so with purpose and intent now. Seeing the travel schedule for the office convinces me that there is a need for the type of freedom the United States can provide. If I need to stay in 5 hotels in 7 days to explore the possibility of helping others migrate to my land where you can work, play and raise a family in freedom and safety, I will do so every time.
