Evolution in Medicine, our efforts have always been about community and bringing people together. In the practice of functional and integrative medicine, we talk a lot about “lifestyle diseases” and “lifestyle choices”. And while these are incredibly important conversations and ones we must keep having, the reality is, sometimes “lifestyle” is not a choice. These are often environmental issues that some people cannot afford to avoid. Food deserts play a role. Systemic traumas play a role. We have much work to do on this front, but there is an immense opportunity here.

One indicator that a movement is ready for development in the commercial sphere is; that due to the COVID story, people start to realize that Heath has more value than Wealth

In my last email, I shared my information with Paulette Jordan, a Native American woman running for the US Senate representing the state of Idaho. And guess what? Paulette won the primary (with 86% of the vote) on Tuesday! That’s a serious ally one step closer to advocating for the healthcare transformation. Her plans to upend healthcare in Idaho and beyond were music to my ears and another sign that real change is coming.
