Transitioning to the next chapter ....

On March 18 1989 I excitedly boarded a flight out of Ireland to JKF and onto Schenectady NY as a young engineer to start the GE Field Engineering program. Over 31 years later I have just retired from GE on June 30. It has been an incredible experience working with some the best people in the Energy Industry in GE and Alstom and of course our great customers & competitors. I would like to thank everyone that I had the pleasure of interacting with during this time who made this such a rich experience for me.

Having started as a Field Service Engineer, it was a great privilege to lead the GE global field service organization twice, most recently as the first CEO of FieldCore. In addition leading the Alstom Thermal Service regional organization of 10,000+ people in every corner of the world was such a rich learning for me & really exposed me to all aspects of the energy global markets. I also have great memories of working with the Altair Filtration team in the UK where I was exposed to a completely new market space & technology .. that of air filtration. Indeed every role I have had has offered challenges that allowed me to learn each day, build high performing teams and have an impact on business. Throughout the process I have had the privilege of working with so many wonderful people, in just about every corner of the world.

I feel very fortunate to have had a career where I have enjoyed what I do every day. I have always tried to be an authentic leader, passionate for what I do, focused on the strength of the team & the impact that can have for the business. I am looking forward with excitement to the next chapter.
