No transition without (electricity) transmission
“There is no transition without transmission”. Catchphrases. They’re catchy for a reason. I especially like this one. I’m biased of course.
Never in Australia’s history has electricity transmission been sexier. Or more widely the subject of commentary, analysis and reporting. ?Everyone seems to have a view.
Australia is on a “crash course” transitioning from old to new forms of generation and storage. The speed and scale of change necessary is daunting.
With so much noise about electricity transmission, what better time than to break down some of the key issues. No gold-plating here. Just plain English, technology agnostic stuff.
In a 3-part series, I’ll be discussing 3 key issues in electricity transmission. ?
Building on the catchphrase theme, 3 of my favourite movie catchphrases will serve as a backdrop:
1.???????????Field of Dreams: “If you build it, they will come”
2.???????????Jerry Maguire: “Show me the money!”
3.???????????The Castle: “It’s the vibe”
I’ll leave it to you to decipher the issues I’ll be discussing.
