TRANSHUMANISM AS A CONCEPT OF ACHIEVING IMMORTALITY

TRANSHUMANISM AS A CONCEPT OF ACHIEVING IMMORTALITY

Evolving of science and technological developments to enhance people’s cognitive and physical capacities is supported by transhumanism and philosophy, respectively. Major objective is to eradicate all parts of human existence that are seen negatively by society, including misery, illness, ageing, and death. Transhumanism supporters are, among other things, looking at the advantages of adopting these technicalities, their advantages, and possibility of a convergence of bio, informational, mental aspects, and nanotechnologies.

Advancement of science directly supports transhumanism. Researchers worldwide are working to discover how to grant someone immortality and how to treat ailments, both physiological and psychological.

Transhumanists’ main goals are to combat diseases including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, senile dementia, cancer, HIV infection, and diabetes. It is no secret that the world’s population is aging, which is referred to as the “silver tsunami” phenomenon. Transhumanists are currently formulating solutions to this issue. They were the ones that suggested to the WHO that old age be classified as an illness rather than a normal bodily condition.

Man limitless perfecting via advancements in science and technological direction is fundamental task of transhumanism. They suggest the following for acquiring immortality –central transhumanism’ aim:Encourage technologic discovery by all means:

  1. Use scientific resources and its technological developments to advance transhumanism;
  2. Support scientific investigations and technological breakthroughs.
  3. Be able to anticipate dangers appearing when they are introduced into human life;
  4. Eliminate all aging effects. Capitally, to allow each dick to choose when he or she wants to die;
  5. Significantly reduce the pain of illness and injury. Thereby increase the level of happiness of life for people:
  6. Speak out against doctrines and groups rejecting transhumanism goals: religious doctrine, various anti-progressive ideologies, etc. Speak out against environmentalism in its fanatical form (rejection of technological development, “return to nature”) (bans on human cloning, psychotropic drugs, embryonic stem cells).
  7. To help promote new technologies for transhumanism. Which may bring great promise, for example: in cryonics, nanotechnology, biotechnology, information technology, improvement of artificial intelligence, and uploading consciousness into computer memory.

An English scientist, evolutionist, humanist, and politician named Julian Sorell Huxley is considered most significant transhumanism’s creator. This is the person who first made people aware of humanity’s troubles. and recommended taking action to address them.

Plenty of recent technologies may be linked to transhumanism, particularly:

  • -Artificial organs
  • neuroprostheses.
  • Organ growth (regenerative medicine)
  • Cloning
  • Prosthetics

Reproductive developments:

  • Pre-implantation genetic diagnosis and embryo selection
  • Neurocomputer interface
  • Biohacking – a new trend based on the use of known biologically active substances for qualitative improvement of all morpho-functional characteristics of the body
  • Plastic surgery
  • Exoskeleton

The path to transhumanist immortality is fraught with challenges.

Scientific Feasibility: Many of the proposed technologies are still in their infancy and face immense scientific hurdles.

Cost and Accessibility: These advanced technologies will likely be incredibly expensive, raising concerns about accessibility and potential for exacerbating existing societal inequalities.

The debate surrounding transhumanism and immortality is ongoing. Proponents argue that it holds the potential to alleviate suffering and improve human lives. They envision a future where diseases and disabilities are eradicated, and humans can reach their full potential. Opponents raise concerns about the ethical and societal implications. They worry about the potential for unintended consequences, the blurring of lines between human and machine, and the very definition of what it means to be human.

Because of aforementioned points, modern transhumanism represents the culmination of several historical, intellectual, and literary trends. There are a lot of supporters and opposers of this vision. Nevertheless, this doesn’t transform the reality belonging to transhumanism field’s thanks to already existing technology. Human life is made simpler, and in certain cases, it delays or avoids an organism’s demise. In order to make humanity eternal, major scientific institutions have long collaborated with researchers and scientists. All of this just proves Julian Huxley’s claim that “Human capacities are the greatest resource in the world.”

Do you want to know more about Transhumanism? I am glad to share the content of my primary research on Transhumanism. It's required a lot of effort but finally, I have completed my research. A research report allows you to evaluate impartially various types of aspects of a subject and it helps to over the edge of the previous research and offers your own insight. https://shorturl.at/kJJPZ
