Transforming towards Agile (why I started admiring Agile!)

I consider myself fortunate to be a part of a movement that is likely to transform the way we do Applications Development in Zain Sudan. I'm also pleased working under the command of such a skillful Agile Coach "Mohamed Hashim" and such a dexterous and committed Agile Team.

If you ask me what beauty/privilege I see in agile (i.e. Scrum and Design Thinking), I will simply say;

• The "atmosphere of Unity/having a Common Goal" among Agile team members (purging silos between Technical and Business)
• The magic of Converting the Culture from "what are your requirements"?to "what value do you want to see" - eliminating and/or well-bracing the non-clear requirements that used to be flying all over the place!
• The "epic of providing a Soundproof Fully-Functional Application Feature(s)" – by end of each Sprint –?instead of solely relying on status reports!!!
• The genius of “Divergence-to-Convergence way of Ideating and Testing new Ides” as well as the “use of Empathy with real end-users” to understand the real “human problem” that is in quest of a resolution (this point is concerning Design-Thinking)

Although it's probably a long journey - full of challenges - towards fully transforming towards agile - in case we managed to prove that it's worth it - , nevertheless we're simply enjoying the ride :)

Note:

• What I stated has been so far applied to regular Software Development Projects (using SCRUM) as well as for new Innovation-based initiatives with non-well defined requirements and outcomes (Design Thinking)
• Nowadays all the boards are converted to "Digital Boards" using Trello due to Covid 19 and Working-From-Home circumstances
