Transforming Rural Communities Through Land Rights: Commonlands Milestones

For families in rural Uganda, securing land rights is a step toward a future with more opportunities.

In the past few months, Commonlands has worked with local partners to document over 3,000 land plots, giving families the foundation to access credit, build homes, and invest in their futures.

What makes this achievement even more significant is that 44% of these plots have been issued to women. Fostering “Gender Equality”.

For many of these women, securing land rights means having a chance to lift themselves and their families out of poverty. It's an essential part of creating lasting economic change in these communities.

Through these efforts, families are gaining a foothold in the global economy. And as they gain that footing, they can access loans at fair rates and start businesses that will sustain them for years to come.

As we move forward, our partnerships with organizations like CARE and CEFORD are helping us accelerate this work, bringing even more families into the fold. Partnership with these organizations is an integral part of our success.

Every documented plot represents a step closer to financial stability, and every certificate issued is a story of hope.

With the support of our partners and community leaders, we're creating a model for how land rights can spark change, one family at a time.

Join us in celebrating these milestones. Follow our journey as we continue working toward a future where every individual, especially women, can claim the land that will sustain them and their communities.
