Merriam-Webster coming in hot with a controversial tweet last week. I shared it to my Instagram Stories and y’all were upset ??. It’s going to take some getting used to. Not only is this news shocking to some, but what they are called is quite the mic drop - terminal prepositions. I have never heard this phrase in my life. The belief is that the rule originated in the 17th century. You can read about it here.?

SOCIAL MEDIA: My favorite one on the list and the one that I see contributing to incredible growth and engagement on accounts - “share images.” Real images of real people can be the simplest way to grow if you’re not already doing this.?

THREADS: My fingers and toes are crossed that this can be just as good as Twitter’s trending section once was at surfacing hot topics.
TIKTOK: I’m watching this play out as well. It’s really the general creators and users who lose in this as they’re the ones who drive the trends and are the only ones who should be using real songs but we know brands still break the rules and do it anyway.
TIKTOK: An attempt to promote even more searching on the platform.
TWITTER/X: There’s still nowhere else on the internet that can compete as a second screen during live events.?

Here I share articles that might not be social media focused, but helpful for general business and brand building.
OPENAI: I am blown away by these videos. OpenAI, the same group that made ChatGPT, has announced a new tool called Sora which makes videos from text prompts. “Sora builds on past research in DALL·E and GPT models.” It’s still being tested and they say there are several safety steps they’ll take before making it available to everyone. Please look at the examples in this link.
OPENAI: This will allow it to remember things across all chats.
GOOGLE: “We blocked or removed over 170 million policy-violating” local business reviews on Google Search and Maps in 2023.?
