Transforming Our Operating Model to Accelerate Growth and Unlock Productivity
Earlier today, at Avantor’s 2023 Investor Day event, I shared how we’re transforming our business to drive growth and accelerate innovation. In January, we will transition from three geographic segments to two business segments anchored in our customers’ laboratory and production needs. Over the past decade, we have built robust capabilities supporting our customers from discovery to delivery at a global scale, and this new operating model is a natural evolution that will advance our growth strategy. What is changing: This new model sharpens our focus on our customers’ research and production while aligning complementary capabilities and processes within Avantor to unlock additional efficiencies.
Randy Stone will lead our Lab Solutions segment, Benoit Gourdier will head our Bioscience Production business, and Jim Bramwell will lead our sales organization in the Americas and Europe. This new operating structure builds on the strength of our market position and will create value for customers and shareholders.
What’s not changing: our dedication to accelerating customer innovation throughout the entire scientific journey, from discovery to delivery.
·?????? In our Laboratory Solutions segment, we’re already a partner of choice and deeply engaged in our customers’ research workflows, from leaders in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry to world-renowned academic and medical institutions.

Our Bioscience Production segment is well-known for its high-purity custom materials, proprietary manufacturing and purification technologies, global quality system and deep regulatory expertise. Our teams will continue to support customers in the bioprocessing, healthcare, and advanced technologies sector that operate in a highly technical, highly regulated production environment.
