Transforming Lives Using Innovative Solutions
In 2023, our Volunteers led transformative projects across Africa, creating significant impacts on the ground.?
One notable project was spearheaded by CorpsAfrica/Ghana Volunteer Ismail Ibrahim, who organized a Vocational Skills Training program in Nanatong Zuo. The training covered skills from soap-making to sewing, equipping women and girls with the tools to pursue careers in these fields. This initiative led to the establishment of a business venture, bolstered by capital, startup kits, and expert mentorship.
Equally impactful was the project led by CorpsAfrica/Kenya Volunteer Kelvin Mutuma, which focused on enhancing mobility and access for PWD in Kitui County. Collaborating with the Walkabout Foundation, 119 wheelchairs were distributed, granting more independence to individuals, including students. Remarkably, 18 students with disabilities were able to return to school with the help of assistive devices.
These initiatives highlight the dedication of CorpsAfrica Volunteers to drive positive change and promote inclusive development across Africa.
Together, we are building a more equitable and empowered future for all.
