Embarking on my career in Finance, my initial foray into the world of employee reimbursement processes was a manual labyrinth involving physical receipt audits, SAP system entries, and the perennial challenge of navigating lost receipts, processing deadlines, and customer frustrations. The ambition to enhance customer experience drove our collective effort to transition from archaic practices to a seamlessly connected digital system. Collaborative brainstorming sessions, involving teams from various departments, highlighted the daily pain points and paved the way for a transformative solution.

The journey was marked by extensive efforts from supervisors, team leaders, managers, and planning and transformation teams. The culmination of these efforts was the introduction of a sophisticated system that not only digitized every facet of the reimbursement process but also eradicated the need to send hundreds of reports and physical bills across borders. The impact was profound - not only did we save substantial costs by eliminating human errors and dependencies, but we also significantly improved the overall reimbursement customer experience.
