Transforming Digital Education Through Storytelling and Co-Production

Six years ago, I started PUR with a simple belief: storytelling makes education stick. Too often, organisations get lost in data and facts, forgetting that it’s the emotional connection that drives action. My own experience with dyslexia taught me this firsthand—communication isn’t just about words, it’s about telling a story that engages (See past post here for more details). That’s the core of PUR: helping organisations co-create stories that connect, educate, and inspire on a deeper level.

Bridging the Gap: From In-Person to Digital Education

Here’s the truth: moving your education programs from in-person to online isn’t just flipping a switch. When you lose that face-to-face interaction with a teacher or facilitator, the story becomes more important than ever. You need more than just information—you need a narrative that holds attention and makes your message resonate.?

But here’s the thing—we don’t do this in isolation. At PUR, we believe in co-production. We work directly with you and your team, along with the people who will actually use the content. It’s a collaborative process where your expertise meets our storytelling craft, ensuring the final product actually lands.

How We Do It

  1. Storytelling—Together

  1. Characters with Purpose: No generic characters. We collaborate to co-create relatable characters that speak directly to your audience’s experience, making even the most complex content personal and engaging.Narratives That Stick: Lessons aren’t lectures. We structure them like stories. By working closely with your team and understanding your learners, we craft narratives that don’t just educate—they captivate.
  2. Engagement Tools That FitInteractive Media: We figure out which engagement tools work best for your audience—video, animation, quizzes—and design experiences that actually stick.Bite sized content: To fit the shrinking attention spans of humans, this is an important one to remember when designing and producing the collateral. It is also paramount to think about the social footprint of the educational tool. Question to ask early on in the designing phase, how will I live in feeds? And how to design in a way that we can leave a breadcrumb trail of content that users who are interested can find their own way from the feed to the product.?Visuals that Matter: Visuals are more than decoration. We work with you to create storytelling that simplifies complex ideas and keeps your learners engaged.Community Building: Education is about connection. We help build forums and discussion spaces that foster collaboration. Learners don’t just consume content—they engage with each other.
  3. Tailored Approach—TogetherCustom Learning Paths: Every subject is different. We tailor each approach to match your specific content. Whether it's technical jargon or emotional intelligence, we build something that fits.Continuous Feedback: One-size-fits-all doesn’t work. That’s why we build in feedback loops from both stakeholders and learners, so we can refine and optimise based on what’s actually working.
  4. Keeping the Human ConnectionLive & Personal: Q&As, live sessions, personal touchpoints—they’re not extras. We work to ensure your content keeps its human touch, even in a digital space.Empathy & Inclusivity: Our co-production process ensures your content is built with empathy and inclusivity, reflecting the diverse backgrounds and needs of your audience.

At PUR, we don’t just create content—we co-create it with you. The goal? To craft experiences that make education more than a data dump. By working directly with you and the people who’ll use the content, we ensure it’s engaging, impactful, and—most importantly—transformative.

The shift to digital is a chance to collaborate. Together, we can co-create online learning environments where knowledge doesn’t just sit—it thrives.

As always my best.
