We recently completed a project to revamp our client's waiting room to make it more comfortable and less intimidating for patients.

One of the primary considerations in our design was to provide visual privacy for patients while incorporating an artistic touch. To achieve this, we installed etched glass panels in sections of the waiting room, which not only created visual privacy but also added a stylish and elegant look to the space. This element was critical in helping to reduce patient anxiety and create a more calming environment.

We also wanted to provide appropriate entertainment for patients waiting in the clinic. We achieved this by playing relaxing music with slow and stable tempos and gentle timbre, which helped patients relax and feel more comfortable during their wait. This element was vital in creating an environment that felt welcoming and soothing to patients. In addition to these features, we elevated the reception desk to sit atop a small platform. This was to ensure that patients would be met at eye level when they checked in at the desk. This little design tweak helped to make the reception area more welcoming and less intimidating for patients.

We also created a comfortable seating area with soft, plush chairs and provided a water station for patients to enjoy while they waited. These elements helped to make patients feel more at ease and more comfortable during their wait, which was crucial in creating a positive first impression for the clinic.

Lastly, we paid attention to the details, keeping the waiting room clean and organised and providing clear and helpful signage. We also incorporated as much natural light as possible into the space, which helped to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere for patients. We carefully selected accent pieces and decorative elements that complemented the client's existing colour palette, incorporating the client's business colour, blue, to create a cohesive and branded look.

The results of our efforts were overwhelmingly positive, with the client reporting that patients were more relaxed and comfortable during their visits. Our focus on creating a welcoming and calming environment while incorporating the client's brand colours helped to make the project successful.
