Transforming corporate culture to empower employees
Change and transformation capture the zeitgeist of the age in which we live. Amidst climate change, work-life balance changes arising from pandemic-enforced restrictions, and evolving consumer expectations, I have constantly reflected upon questions such as “What is our role in society?” and “How should we act as a business?” in an effort to address the trends and challenges that 日产 faces as a business.
Nissan has embraced our corporate purpose of “Driving innovation to enrich people’s lives” to guide us in our ongoing business transformation. In a key step to realizing this purpose, we announced our Nissan Ambition 2030 long-term vision last November, reinforcing sustainability at the core of our business to contribute to a cleaner, safer and more inclusive world.
To truly achieve success, we need to change how we think – including the attitudes and beliefs we hold both collectively and at the individual level. This is similar to athletes who compete and who must invest in not only physical training but also in transformation of their mindsets to put themselves in a position to finish a race or win a competition.
Embedding a winning mindset and culture in business, just like in team sports, is a process that takes time. It cannot be done overnight, especially not when there are decades of legacy and behaviour to reverse and renew. But doing it is essential not just because it is beneficial to the business but because people are our most critical assets – to be nurtured and developed.
How, then, might a company or any team aspiring to success go about creating a winning culture and mindset and developing its people? I believe that the key is in preserving and promoting respect and trust, as doing so creates a safe space for people to speak up without being bound by preconceived notions of what is or is not possible.
We must encourage people to take on new challenges without fearing mistakes, so that we can continue driving innovation. At Nissan, it is in our DNA “to do what others don’t dare to do”. This was the spirit of our founder and a spirit we need now more than ever.

1 年I think dear Mr Makoto that your good words for being true must be real not only good words empty and for to be real and not only good words empty he must transformed in real facts not only in good words empty. For me it should be enough giving a car sostitutive and not damnageing me for over 3 months without a car sostitutive My name is Fabrizio De Biasi and repeat that I buyed the 5 new Nissan Car ( X trail epower ibryd ) by Nissan Corso Tazzoli 201/G CAP ;: 1137 in Turin (Italy) ay july 2023 spending 45259,96 euro and I believe that I have right of recevieng by Nissan a car sostitutive until to my car will be repaired by officine even if the officine not Nissan because even if I had carryied my car in a Nissan officine the delay of pieces of rechange sould not be available in any way. .I hope that you Mr Makoto kindly a quickly answer because the Nissan in Rome (ITALY) doesn't answer anything to my PEC email sent Regards Dr Fabrizio DE BIASI .

1 年I really very hungry for all that because all the other principle Car House like Audi Renault Woswaghen e Mercedes give c rar sostitutive immediately at all clients that awaiting their car repareid for all the time the reparation because like in my case the late has created only by the very long time of arrive in Italy of all pieces of rechange not available in Italy- So I request at Mr Makoto kindly of intervent quicky for give me a car sostitutive because I need a car for work and I had many problems were caused by not given a sostitutive car by Nissan. Otherwise I published my disadventure recently caused by Nissan on redation of 4 ROTES ( 4 RUOTE) and I immediately will send my new car X trail E Power when at february I hope that it will arrive repaired to me by officine and immediately I will buy a new car Mercedes or Audi that normally give a car sostitutive to your good clients ;

1 年I am an italian anestesiologist by 30 years sixty years old that living in Turin (ITALY) and by Nissan on Corso Tazzoli 201/G CAP : 1137 in Turin (Italy) I buyed 5 new cars ( 3 Quasquai and 2 Xtrail the last e-power model buyed at july 2023) in the last 10 years but for amount of near 200000 euro . Now on 9november 23 I had a bad incident with total reason but my Nissan and I awaiting too my car repaired without receveing by r for work and I had mI am an italian anestesiologist by 30 years sixty years old that living in Turin (ITALY) and by Nissan on Corso Tazzoli 201/G CAP : 1137 in Turin (Italy) I buyed 5 new cars ( 3 Quasquai and 2 Xtrail the last e-power model buyed at july 2023) in the last 10 years but for amount of near 200000 euro .
