What kind of vision do you have for your life??

Is it a vision, borne out of your limited circumstances? Out of your birth background? Your dad was a civil servant, so all you think about is a pay check? Your parents did not own investment property because of lack of financial planning, so all you know is living from paycheck to paycheck, trying to keep up with the Ibrahims, the Oyedepos or the Okafors...

Your doctor says you have a medical condition, so you have planned your life around your doctor's report.

Your job allows you no travel time, and not much spare time, so you never think of an exotic vacation, or some me time to think, to dream, to plan your life or better still to hear what God has planned for your life.?

If all you see, or can envision is limited to your immediate circumstance or situation in life, then your vision is like a turkey's which typically stays within its limiting environment, on the ground and never attaining great heights.

Eagles on the other hand, have such great power of sight that they can survey very great distances with surprising accuracy. Their ability to soar to great heights gives them a twofold advantage. One is to observe storms and dangers afar off, two to observe prey and food. Meanwhile, birds like the crows and turkeys rarely achieve great heights and thus have limited vision.

But what if you could develop an eagle's vision for your life? What if you could see beyond your current limitations and soar to new heights of success and fulfilment??

Here are some tips to help you do just that.

1. Expand Your Horizons

The first step to developing an eagle's vision is to expand your horizons. You can't see what's beyond your current environment if you don't expose yourself to new ideas, experiences, and perspectives. Take time to explore different cultures, travel to new places, read books outside of your comfort zone, and meet people who challenge your assumptions. The more you expose yourself to new things, the more you'll expand your vision for what's possible in your life.

2. Dream Big

Once you've expanded your horizons, it's time to dream big. Don't limit yourself to what you think is realistic or achievable based on your current circumstances. Instead, imagine the life you would love to have if anything were possible. What kind of career would you have? Where would you live? What kind of relationships would you have? What kind of impact would you make on the world? Write down your dreams, visualize them, and believe that they are possible.

3. Set Goals

Once you've dreamed big, it's time to set goals to make those dreams a reality. Break your big dreams down into smaller, achievable goals that you can work towards each day. Make sure your goals are specific, measurable, and time-bound. Write them down, track your progress, and celebrate your wins along the way. I usually call them No Nonsense Goals.

4. Take ACE Action

Goals are only as good as the actions you take to achieve them. So, commit to take ACE action every day towards your goals. Even if it's just a small step, it's progress. Stay focused, and bring your ACE game onboard even when things get tough. Remember, eagles don't give up when the winds get strong; they adjust their wings and soar even higher.

5. Seek Support

No one achieves success alone. Seek out mentors, coaches, and friends who can support you on your journey towards your goals. Surround yourself with people who believe in you, challenge you, and inspire you to be your best self. Join groups or communities where you can share your struggles and successes and learn from others who have already achieved what you're working towards.

In conclusion, developing an eagle's vision for your life is possible, but it takes effort, courage, and persistence.?

So this week, as a start, my challenge to you, is this,?

How high are you prepared to fly? Are you willing to leave the confines and limitations of your immediate comfort zone? Without a vision for your life, you are just playing games with your life.?

People with vision see more and further than others.?

And this is beyond the physical brain or the eye size, because we generally have the same brain and eyes size. This difference is therefore not in the physical features, but in your mind.?

You are as big as you think

You cannot think of catching mice, and then end up catching lions?..... That would be a travesty of natural, even supernatural laws.

As you begin to expand your thinking faculty,

"Man's mind, stretched to a new idea, never goes back to its original dimensions."?

So today, determine to stretch your mind. Find ten minutes and be silent.?

Ask yourself, What kind of vision do I want to develop- a turkey's or an eagle's??
