In my work with organizational leaders it is becoming clear that if you don't embrace it you run the risk of being left behind. Imagine walking into a room full of buzzing computers and robots. They’re fast, accurate, and tireless. But something’s missing – the human touch. While AI is great at crunching numbers and performing tasks, it can’t understand the subtleties of human emotions and motivations. Although I presented about this gap at Denver Startup week last year, the gap is continually narrowing as there are some game changing technologies emerging. Nevertheless, the reality is that it the human touch where we, as transformational leaders, shine.?

Take Sarah, a manager at a tech firm. She noticed that despite having the best AI tools, her team’s morale was low. Instead of relying solely on data, she took time to personally connect with her team, understanding their challenges and aspirations. She leveraged a powerful too for communication and building human connection. It was this human touch as she build trust with each member of her team that turned things around, boosting both morale and productivity.?

Here’s a quick breakdown of the acronym and the various primary styles:?

  • Blueprint (B): Value structure, systems, and planning. They thrive in organized environments and prefer clear, detailed communication.?
  • Action (A): Value freedom, spontaneity, and excitement. They are go-getters who enjoy dynamic and fast-paced communication.?
  • Nurturing (N): Value relationships, authenticity, and personal connections. They appreciate empathetic and supportive communication.?
  • Knowledge (K): Value learning, intelligence, and logic. They prefer data-driven, analytical communication.?

While we are all a little of every style, the ability to quickly recognize and adapt our communication is key to building strong trusting relationships. Consider Alex, a leader at a software company. He realized that his team had diverse communication styles. By using the B.A.N.K. system, he tailored his messages effectively.
