Sometimes when the big waves are rolling in over us, we react in 2 ways: We either freeze or fly - if we see fear and believe that new dimensions are dangerous and difficult: it is! Or we see all the new crazy opportunities, we thrive and want to fly to new undiscovered fields: it will be!

WE make the decisions, ourselves!!

This is why I combine Personal Development & Leadership Training; the 2 disciplines I have been working with for decades, both as an educational developer and training leaders. It makes sense - as we must admit we are on the way to a new path, we've never been before

Courage is a very important skill in these changing times, we don't know what will come next, and we necessarily do not know what the results of our effort are. But there is NO need to go on tip-toe - the more we take OWNERSHIP, the more we shape the future!

When working with leaders my focus is on taking the Mindset far beyond by discovering new dimensions of yourself in the leadership role. Becoming aware of all the possibilities that Transformation holds - creating a purposeful impact, for yourself & the entire organization - will transform the mindset of your employees and their ability to fly, as well.

Leadership in Transformation is incomparable to any other kind of leadership style; its unique as it contains all the changes we see around the world, not only digitalization but also:

  • How leaders begin to realize they have to respond more wisely, timely, and intuitively
  • What it takes to transform other people - and harmonize it into a meaningful workday
  • How employees find their own ways of doing their work better, more efficient

Helle Ottesen We talk about this concept of "sitting in the unknown" a LOT in applied improvisation. After all, when you are playing any kind of game with someone - you do not know that outcome. That is part of what is exciting. But when we get to business we are often so focused on the bottom line that we forget to be okay with the messy middle and the figuring stuff out to grow our business - this is especially true for entrepreneurs.

As you say Helle Ottesen, for leader today its essential to combine personal develeopment with leadership development. Who we are as a person, influences the leader we are and want to become. The two are intertwined!

Freeze or Fly. Appreciate this paradigm shift lens on choice point Helle Ottesen. In the relationship coaching work I do, I provide energy management tools to support the nervous system in making choices to fly - even if it might look like one beat of a wing. Over time, when met with that point, the option to fly has been so well practiced, it is the natural next step.
