I enjoyed this podcast because it explores the reasons why we feel burned out and explains that we need to help each other when these feelings arise. According to journalist Shayla Love, defining burnout as interaction with the outside world--and then not being able to fix the world--can sometimes make us feel like we'll be burned out forever. And that's where self-care comes into play, but we still have to put our activities and emotions into perspective. #selfcare

Cybersecurity Highlights

The following article focuses on #cybersecurity issues and caught our team's attention from our Cybersecurity Insights newsletter. If you are interested in receiving more articles like this directly to your inbox each month, we encourage you to subscribe to our Cybersecurity Insights newsletter.

Interesting observation from Jesper Trolle, CEO for Exclusive Networks, who wrote in part, "Over a third of organizations worldwide suffered a material cyber incident from malicious actors in the past year, while 73% were affected by ransomware attacks in 2023. With these cyberattacks come serious financial costs — global damages total an astonishing $8 trillion each year. As attack surfaces continue to expand and cybercrime emerges as the world's third-largest economy, trailing only the US and China, the time to act is now... Cybersecurity professionals are key to addressing this problem. Yet, the global cybersecurity skills deficit has reached a record high of 4 million. In the UAE alone, a recent study finds that 66% of IT managers believe their organizations lack ‘the right people and processes to be cyber resilient.’” #cybersecurity #managerisk
