It's just starting in B2B
The employment landscape is changing at such a rapid speed.
People are realising they can step off their corporate career, go solo and earn more.
We see senior people choosing fractional roles.?
So many are exploring the freelance path.
While the 4-day workweek is proven to be highly successful.
We can work from anywhere.
Companies are hiring from overseas which means access to jobs and increased economic opportunities continues to spread across the globe.
The attention and creator economy is literally exploding. And it's just starting in B2B.?
People are finding their voice on social and monetising their skills.
People are building communities.
Almost 5 billion people have access to the internet - it's never been easier to start a company than it is right now. You can access the world from your bedroom.
Countries are attracting remote workers with digital nomad visas that benefits the local community.
And so many people have left the big city life for small villages and are turning them into vibrant hubs.
Personal brands have become fuel for startup growth. Need a ghostwriter? There's loads of them just waiting to build and communicate your brand to the world - which will grow your business.
People are building multiple income streams.
The access to learning is mind blowing ?? You can learn anything you want through social platforms and networks.
We see people leaving toxic and unsustainable work environments and choosing new career paths.
It's never been easier to own the navigation of your life and career.
Rebuild it.
Become independent.
How we work, how we live, how we educate and access knowledge has changed in its core.
And we are just getting started.
This week I invited 3 people with deep knowledge in their field to give their view of how the employment landscape is transforming.
Let's dive in and meet them!

Hi, I'm Sagar Khatri, Co-Founder and CEO of Multiplier.
What an amazing journey I’ve been on with Multiplier so far. I’ve always been passionate and curious about how we can use technology to create a better world. Together with my fellow Multiplier Co-Founders Vamsi Krishna and Amritpal Singh we’re on a mission to inspire and change the future of work by creating a world without limits.?
How do you view the transformation of the employment landscape?
I see it as a rebalancing. An equalization. A chance to redefine what a workforce looks like, how it behaves and where it’s located.?
What do you think will be the next trend in the world of work?
People will want to work for purpose and passion. Our vision for Multiplier supports this - it’s a beautiful approach to work.?
How does Multiplier help companies navigate the transformation of the employment landscape?
For us, it’s about people. Multiplier has helped thousands of companies employ the very best talent. And we’ve helped employees in over 150 countries secure their dream job. We put the world in the palm of everyone’s hands.
Describe the future of work in one word.

Hey I'm Barbara - a 'Mum first' entrepreneur and investor who managed to bootstrap a 300 person remote company called The Virtual Hub while having my two babies, living across two continents and working very much part time .... from anywhere. We help businesses all over the world to optimise their operations by freeing up valuable time using offshore teams and connecting strategy?and execution in a faster, more efficient and effective way through optimal platform?& process architecture.?
How do you view the transformation?of the employment landscape?
There are some things that when you see them you just can't?unsee them. The pandemic let us all 'see' what it is like to work remotely and now nobody can unsee it ..... no matter what companies are saying to try to put the genie back in the bottle.
What do you think will be the next trend in the world of work??
Remote and distributed work is here to stay. I think the next big trend is going to be companies finally realising that it takes a restructure of how we operate, how we create, innovate, collaborate and communicate to make this work.
How does The?Virtual Hub help companies?to navigate the transformation of the employment landscape?
At The Virtual Hub we believe that the 'office' is a place that can, in fact, be in the cloud. We have offshore, remote teams working inside client?businesses all over the?world. By helping those companies to embrace our philosophy, operational efficiency frameworks and process strategies we have seen so many go on to successfully make the jump and embrace the future of work.
Describe the future of work in one word.
Evolving.

Hi, I'm Olumide. I help brands sell their products and services to digital nomads. I also work with local governments and global organizations with special interest in digital nomads. I'm currently working with the Bitung City government in Sulawesi, Indonesia to set up the first digital nomad village in Indonesia. 7 years ago I started traveling the world as a digital nomad before people even used the word. I would spend several hours at a Starbucks in Mexico City each day at a time that was seen as weird. As time grew I saw more faces join me in Starbucks. My claim to fame in the remote work community is that about 4 years ago I started hosting large conferences and summits for digital nomads and have since reached over 100,000 online and grown that into a popular newsletter of 8,000+ from around the world.
How do you view the transformation of the employment landscape?
A scenario where work is just another part of life and not the main part.
I think companies are starting to realize there has to be more time for personal life and a balance so I expect more hybrid and remote work to become the norm. More laws and legislation will be forced to be enacted because otherwise, people will leave for companies offering better situations.?
What do you think will be the next trend in the world of work?
I feel with the advent of AI and Web3 technologies we will see our movement go more into a life-centric one rather than grinding for 12 hours on our laptops. What we will see is more people learning to be operators and the best operators at each role will help push their companies to the next level. We will see people spend more time on less technical roles and more expertise-based roles.
How is the digital nomad community developing and what do you think the future looks like?
The community is no longer single nomads wielding their laptops at the beach in Bali. It's getting more diverse, parents deciding to take their kids to new countries, single mothers learning online skills and side hustles and headed to Mexico, nomads in Africa moving around to other developing nations on the continent for a better life and situation. We are no longer predictable and the space is open for one common goal: freedom.

1 年It has indeed changed quite a lot! There ain’t nothing that can compare to #freedom and the feeling of being the owner of your own destiny. After 7 years in #corporate, I am now an investor, entrepreneur and soon to be a solopreneur too and this has changed my life! As Sagar Khatri says, people now are #purposedriven and want to work for their passion! #fractionalwork and being able to contribute to different missions helps a lot to that and is definitely what many of us have been looking for our entire career. I’m now in a “break” soon to do some volunteering to give back to the community after which I may be open to contribute to new projects but question here is: “Why to only work for a company while we can make impactful contributions to great missions that need help out there?” Im a fierce advocate of creating communities and I see the future of work as an ecosystem where everyone can leverage their skills to have a positive impact all around!

1 年Hanna Larsson what a great edition! ?? There are so many great points. Olumide's perspective on people learning to be operators and expertise-based roles really stood out to me. I believe we will also see companies shift to an outsourced model of hiring experts on a contractor basis.
