The last 6 months for me were dedicated to developing my first idea for a women empowerment retreat - from an idea in December to executing it in May 2023! Thanks to Monica Lanfranco and her foundation Altradimora we were allowed to step into a 30-year-old tradition of empowering women, feminism and conflict transformation.
Also big thanks Joanna Nikolova and Nina Peneva for co-creating this event with me. We did a beautiful job - we had constellations, worked with archetypes, tantra, danced and had a lot of fun and smiles! But also - we managed to transform our participants and some of them are describing it as "the best week in their lives"!
And …. A group of 12 women immersing themselves in self-knowledge, #vulnerability and #authenticity, connecting with themselves and #nature for 5 days is just.. magic!
And because a picture is worth a thousand words - check out this video created by one of our participants:
Almost 6 years after I moved to the Netherlands in 2017 now I can say that I can deliver a 3-day programme in Dutch. The topic of the training was cooperation and safety. In schools at the age of high school (12-17) often there can be bullying or other behaviours which make the students feel unsafe.
Congratulations to the decision-makers in the school that decided that all the classes from Year 2 (between 13 and 15) undergo training on cooperation. We were a group of 12 #trainers for 6 classes. We all brought our own methods and the result was…. #magical! A blend of different skills, approaches and methodologies all united by the idea that cooperation moves us forward as a group.

In our group with we did a #value contract, we reflected on our strengths and weaknesses, we looked at group roles and which is our natural position in the group dynamics and which is the one we would like to be in. And last but not least – we did outdoor cooking where the kids cooked on an open fire for their parents! What an #empowering method.
My main learning from spending 3 days with the kids is the following: #creativity and #playfulness lead to innovation. However, for creativity and playfulness to be welcome – first there has to be safety. How about you? How safe do you feel in your own work place(s)? This is the question that I was left with.
Talking about safety.. I am diving into a new adventure this month.
Just as we closed the chapter with Rewild for this year I working on the next one.
This time it will be a #women’s #retreat in #bulgaria in #Bulgarian language. To honour our tradition and our roots we called it Samodivi - which are types of woodland?fairies?or?nymphs. It will take place between July 7th to 9th in the Balkan mountains! If you want to learn more about it, check out more information here: https://bit.ly/3Wl3PBP
Stay tuned for more in the upcoming weeks!
Onwards!
