Consider what the person says, thinks, does and feels in various situations. Use observations, past interactions, and empathy to fill in each quadrant.
Reflect on your findings and consider how you can use this understanding to improve your interactions and relationships with this person.
Empathy mapping helps you develop a deeper understanding of others' perspectives and emotions.
This enhanced empathy can lead to better communication, stronger relationships and a more supportive work environment.
Mindful Listening
The practice of fully focusing on and understanding what someone is saying without interrupting or planning your response while they are speaking.
?When someone is speaking to you, give them your full attention. Put away distractions like your phone or computer.
Show that you are listening by nodding, maintaining eye contact and leaning slightly forward?
Let the speaker finish their thoughts before you respond. Resist the urge to interject with your own opinions or solutions.
