SDLC - Software Development Lifecycle is no more only the typical Planning, Design, Development, Testing, Monitoring. The new age SDLC should be Agile in Planning, Flexible & Dynamic Design, AI powered productive Development, Automated Testing, DevSecOps enabled Deployment, Augmented Monitoring.

The best way to gain an understanding of a tool is to give it a try, write code in it, and test its performance. As a PM I have explored a bunch of tools as I work cross-functionally with the development teams that I work with. For UI/UX - Figma For Data Pipeline and workflow - Apache Airflow Version Controlling - Git (ofc) Cloud Warehouse development - Azure Api development - Python Django Databases - SQLServer, MySQL, MongoDB, and Postgres Once you get hands-on with the different tools, you start understanding developer pain points and how can you design solutions that are easy to implement & solve a business need.

We should never be afraid to “try things”. Sometimes it will help and other times… it won’t. But even by using a failed approach you learn, gain skills, and find ways to overcome challenges. By trying new things, approaches, etc. you create an environment in which people feel safer to make mistakes and will be more willing to innovate. New ways to deliver are consistently evolving and I have yet to find a methodology of delivery that fits every dev team. Everyone is different and catering to your team and finding what works for them is essential and what drives success.
