LinkedIn is where the business people are, combining all forms of media together. Duplicate content is a Google myth, as I have as many blogs and websites as the next magnate.
Major brands like American Airlines, American Electric Power, and Ascension needed my help Streamlining Technology? for better results than their competitors - as did a host of small and mid-size businesses throughout the U.S. over the last 3 decades (many more still do).

You don't sell things on social media. You start a dialog on select channels and consistently deliver something great that your competition simply can't or won't.
I used to be afraid to show my hands or worried that people would assume that I was retarded from my looks. You're going to always get laughed at or mange to offend somebody - and after you understand that truth, what is there to worry about?
Only in the United States could a poor, handicapped kid from rural Oklahoma beat the odds to become America's Cyberist.
If I've been the guide to help anyone today overcome a fear, learn a useful concept, or start something new, then it's a win for us all.
