Transform Your Customer Outreach Strategy Now...

Starting your own business is exhilarating, but one of the toughest challenges is finding the right customers.

Im often asked - "How do you attract ideal clients without coming on too strong or seeming desperate? "

This question haunts many entrepreneurs and business', though the solution is simpler than you think and its scalable

Let's get into it...

Mastering Customer Outreach for Entrepreneurs

When I first started working with Eve, she were offering consulting services for healthcare startups, this challenge was her constant companion. After countless hours of testing and tweaking, we mapped out an outreach strategy that transformed her client acquisition process.

Now, I want to share this powerful approach with you which you can use.

?How Can You Attract Ideal Clients Without Being Pushy?

Through trial and error, I worked with many clients and Ive used one method that is a solid outreach method that combines Alerts and LinkedIn direct messaging. It’s effective, easy to implement, and can start delivering results for your business almost immediately.

A Proven Method for Effective Customer Outreach

This method shines when paired with a robust social media presence. Regular content publication enhances your visibility, and a well-crafted outbound DM can spark meaningful conversations.

The Common Pitfall in Direct Messaging

Many entrepreneurs falter when it comes to sending direct messages. They often focus on themselves instead of the potential customer, missing a golden opportunity to engage meaningfully. This is where most DMs fail.

I had one person reached out to me recently and straight off the bat said, "I'll get straight to the point - blah blah blah and never wanted to know nor did they ask anything about me or my needs, wants or challengers,

Shift the Focus to the Customer

Strangers don’t want to hear about you—they want to know how you can help them. Understanding this distinction is crucial. Here’s how to craft messages that resonate and engage, without coming off as salesy.

Here is the Step-by-Step Guide to Effective Customer Outreach

I work with Entrepreneurs, and SMB to build Revenue, Growth and Profitability.

This is the method Eve uses in her business who Ive worked with and you can apply these principles at scale no matter what stage your business is at.

Step 1: Set Up a Alert for Key Triggers

Identify milestones or triggers in your industry that signal growth or expansion for your ideal clients. For companies, this could include fundraising, media mentions, PR events, or speaking engagements. For individuals, look for magazine features, webinars, or conference appearances.

For instance, when consulting for early-stage healthcare companies, Eve set up Alerts for terms like “healthcare” or “doctor” and “Series A” to find companies in their growth phase. This allowed her to identify businesses likely to invest in consulting services.

Step 2: Craft a Customer-Centric DM Template

With your Alerts in place, create a DM template that focuses on the recipient. Make it brief, engaging, and about them.

Here’s a template she used successfully: “Congrats on the recent round, [Recipient's Name, amount, who was involved]. I’m a healthcare technology veteran (ZocDoc/PatientPop) and love what you’re doing. Following you all from way over here in XXXXX”

This message is simple and congratulatory, subtly mentioning your background to pique interest without being pushy or salesy.

Step 3: Schedule Weekly Outreach Sessions

Establish a routine for your outreach. Eve chose Friday mornings, sending 10-12 messages each week. This regularity kept her pipeline fresh and active.

Consider the impact Eve achieved: with a 11.3% response rate, she could add 50+ new prospects annually. With an average deal size of $25,000, that’s $1.25M in potential revenue from just approx 35 minutes of work each week.

This outreach strategy is effective because it introduces you to potential clients in a friendly, non-aggressive manner while showcasing your relevant experience. This approach encourages recipients to explore your LinkedIn profile and website, leading to more discovery calls and client engagements.

Action Steps:

  1. Set Up Relevant Alerts: Identify and set up alerts for key industry triggers.
  2. Craft a Customer-Focused DM: Develop a concise, engaging DM template centered on the recipient.
  3. Schedule Regular Outreach: Dedicate a specific time each week for sending your DMs.

By following these steps, you can effectively attract ideal customers to your business without the hassle and desperation often associated with cold outreach.

Go on and get cracking, start transforming your client acquisition strategy now.
